Hot Damn...
And that would pretty well sum up last week... HOT - DAMN! Things have started to cool back sown below triple digits, and I never though I'd say it but 100 degrees seems cool compared to what it was last week. But, the air conditioners are doing their thang well, the cars are holding together, and everybody is employed and healthy. Can't ask for much more than that.
4:30AM Observation... Someone needs to invent "The Coffee Channel"! With Live 24 Hour Color Coffee Radar too! I'm just saying...
Looking for a Motorhome. Nothing new, or fancy, just a "road home" that Joy and I can use to go to the various events and happenings around town. Things like Alabaster's City Fest and so on. I just think it would be a cool way to enjoy an event like that without killing yourself with the heat and humidity for these all day and night type of events. Parking ALWAYS sux so you just go in the day before, find you a place to call base camp and park it. Then use it as your "home base" throughout the event. Got hot, go to the Motorhome. Hungry, got to the Motorhome. Tired, go to the Motorhome. You see how this works? Your very own private bathroom! A kitchen! Satellite TV! AIR CONDITIONING! I see a ton of possible uses for our family. Races, Logan's Football Games, concerts, just about any place you'd take the family in the car to have a fun day doing stuff. Joy and Caitlin love to grab the Grandkids (Logan and Anna) and head out for a day at VisionLand (or whatever it is currently being called...). They stay pretty much a full 10 hour day too. Eat bad food that they have to pay through the nose for, get hot, stand in long lines, sunburned, exhausted by the time they come home. And I don't go. Why??? Too long on my feet, too hot, no where to sit, all the things that make it fun for most other people. BUT... With a Motorhome, I could go! Set up basecamp for the Girls and Grands and then crank up the A\C, flip on the Satellite TV and relax in my Barko-Lounger. Have preset "food feast" times and I could fire up the grill and have a tasty lunch whipped up for all when they needed a pit stop.
A couple of weeks ago, we had the Grandkids with Joy and I, and were headed to the pool, but wanted to stop by and watch Matt ride in one of the Gymkhanna motorcycle events they have at the old Eastwood Mall area. Huge, empty parking lot, 5 trees, no power, no water and intense sunshine! They had the courses coned off for the bikes to ride, but it still left a huge, empty parking lot with plenty of room to set up a small Class C 27, Motorhome. We could have stayed all day in relative comfort. Crank out the awning, set up the coolers and the grill... DAMN... PARADISE!
And that's what I'm looking for, a 25-30' Class C Ford 1-Ton Motorhome. With Joy being an R.N., we could set up a Mini-First Aid Station and be pretty much be welcomed with open arms at any small event like these. Stock a small supply of water and a few coolers of ice and hey, a welcome addition to any small event. I could even toss a few cases of chips and drinks in there a become an instant snack bar! Might even make a buck or two!

Wow, it's really 2012...
Been a lot of things going on since my last real update. Way too many to try to list in the short amount of time I have today. I'll hit the high points... New Grand Daught! Maggie Harper Suggs, was born to Matt and Val on April 20th 2012, happy, healthy and full of love! Caitlin got a new car and the nest is "Officially" MT! I only have 1 to drive around and that would be my very own Red Tornado. Still have to be up at the butt crack of dawn, but I can handle that. Everybody else in The Clan is Happy and Healthy. Can't ask for much more.
Project RoadPig is again, stalled. It runs. It drives. I just can't figure out what I REALLY want to do with it. Chop? Restore? Dual Sport? Bobber? See my dilemma? In the meantime, loosing beautiful opportunities to ride EVERY DAMN DAY!
My back is trying it's best to put me on the sidelines. Permanently! Lower back is falling apart. VA is a joke. So no joy there. Grin and bear it!
More later today, I hope...
