2011 starts a new year full of wonderful opportunities for people all over BHM to show just how far they have their heads, up their asses! There was no winner for 2010. I mean let's face it, if you made it here for having your head up your ass, then you'll never really be a winner will you. I'm going to change things up a little bit and add some "structure" and readability to this year's HUA Award page by taking it month to month just to give a context of time and place. I will also try to shorten my rantings a bit. You really don't need to know every last detail of why I hate you. So, without further ado, we have our first Nominee!
JANUARY:
Birmingham Police Department Car 325: 10pm Wed Jan 12, 2011: When the Police won't do their job (Law Enforcement), it's a crying shame. I watched a car on Highland Ave. cut a U-turn at the end of a median divider (right where there was a NO U-TURN sign no less), cut off the Police car, run the stop sign and happily motor on her way. The Police car fell right in behind her and I really expected she was about to have a driving lesson very quickly. But something made me wonder, so I went around the block and sure enough, there was the cop sitting at the red-light at Highland and 24th Street all by his lonesome as I pulled up at the intersection. No blue light display, nobody pulled over, nothing! Having some technical issues here, to be continued... OK, I think I got the gremlins whipped, let me continue. As I was saying, the cop after having witnessed not one, but TWO traffic law violation right in front of his own nose, chose to do NOTHING! You can't get much more lazy and worthless than that.
